Rosewood tree is known by many name such as sisu, sheesham, Agaru, Tali, etc. It is native to Himalayan foothills in Northern Indian and distributed in many countries viz. India, Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and Mauritius. Rosewood is an important tmber tree of India. It has nut-brown heartwood which is very hard, heavy, strong and elastic. The wood is used for making door, window frames, flooring, furniture, boat, cabinets, etc.
Planting / Care:
Indian rosewood or shisham, the sissoo tree (Dalbergia sissoo) is a fast-growing tree capable of growing more than 2 feet each year. The tree reaches a mature height of up to 65 feet, producing light green pointed leaflets and fragrant spring blooms.
Light: Location with full sun or partial shade for your rosewood tree. A native of India.
Watering: Water regularly with your garden hose, saturating the soil deeply to help promote healthy root and foliage development. Regular watering is especially crucial during the summer, and when the tree is newly planted.
Fertilize: fertilizer that contains magnesium to the soil. This will help to prevent chlorosis, a yellowing of the leaves that commonly occurs in rosewood trees because of magnesium deficiency.
